Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rupa Patra counseling portal (“Service”), operated by Rupa Patra (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Account Registration
To access the client portal, you must create an account with a valid email address and a secure password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately at contact@rupapatra.com if you suspect unauthorized access
3. Services Provided
Rupa Patra provides online counseling, applied psychology consultations, and stress-management support through appointment-based sessions. All services are conducted online via the portal’s chat system.
Disclaimer: The Service does not constitute medical diagnosis or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, or emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical or psychological emergency, please contact your local emergency services immediately.
4. Appointments & Payments
- You may request appointments through the portal. Appointments are subject to availability and confirmation by the counselor.
- Payment details (including UPI information) will be provided upon appointment confirmation. Payment must be completed before the session begins.
- The counselor reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments at any time. You will be notified via email and in-portal notifications.
- Refund requests must be directed to contact@rupapatra.com and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
5. Session Conduct
During counseling sessions, you agree to:
- Communicate respectfully and honestly
- Not share, distribute, or record session contents without explicit written consent from the counselor
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose
6. Chat Transcripts
Counseling chat transcripts are stored securely and retained indefinitely. Both the client and counselor have access to their own session transcripts. Transcripts may be emailed to both parties upon session completion.
7. Content & Uploads
You may upload files (images and PDFs, up to 4MB) during chat sessions. You warrant that any uploaded content does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
8. Account Termination
- By you: You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page of your dashboard. Deletion permanently removes all your data (profile, appointments, chat history, notifications).
- By us: We reserve the right to suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms, exhibit abusive behavior, or engage in fraudulent activity.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rupa Patra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and design elements of the portal are the property of Rupa Patra. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the relevant Indian jurisdiction.
